Rajasthan is a state in the northwestern part of India, bordered by Pakistan to the west, Punjab to the north, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to the northeast, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, and Gujarat to the southwest. It comprises the Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, along with the Aravalli Range, plateaus, and the fertile plains of the eastern region.
Rajasthan celebrates colorful festivals such as Diwali, Holi, Gangaur, Teej, and the world-famous Pushkar Camel Fair. The state is renowned for its handicrafts including block prints, bandhani textiles, pottery, jewelry, and traditional art forms like Kathputli (puppetry) and folk music and dance. Despite the arid landscape, agriculture, especially the cultivation of wheat, barley, pulses, and oilseeds, plays a significant role.
